Prehistoric

The Prehistoric period is quite interesting due to the means of their design. This includes how they do not use very much furniture and how they used a lot of natural resources to design and build because that was all they had. Slowly they would progress to having beds and shelves but at the beginning they stuck to just a shelter because they only needed that to survive.

Another interesting thing is the houses for the nomadic people. They still today stick to the needs only basis. Most of the things that were made were only things that they could use, because otherwise there was no point in carrying the items with them from place to place. The way they chose their places of residence was purely by location. They went to where they could survive, and when they created their homes it reflected just that, a temporary home to keep them safe, not even a home.

The one cool thing that they did get to do in an aspect of design was on religious things and their few pieces of decor. This could include baskets, rugs, and their clothing was extremely colorful and patterned compared to their homes. They only used patterns, colors and designs on things that had meaning such as: the tribe, their gods, and society and they were strictly ornamental.
